PTTOW! Catalyst for Change Grant Privacy Policy
Version 1, Effective Date: June 1, 2022
Last Updated Date: June 1, 2022

Welcome to the PTTOW! Catalyst for Change grant application! The Organizers of the Grant (“Organizers”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) has prepared this Privacy Policy to describe to you our practices regarding the Personal Information (as defined below) we collect from applicants of the PTTOW! Catalyst for Change grant (“Grant”). We respect your privacy, value your relationship, and want you to enjoy the Grant application process.

The Grants are intended only for K-12 educators located in the 50 states of the United States of America. If you are a non U.S. user of the Website or applicant for the Grant, by visiting the Website and/or providing us with information, you acknowledge and agree that your Personal Information may be processed for the purposes identified in the Privacy Policy. In addition, your Personal Information may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country. So we are clear about the terminology we are using, when we use the phrase “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean information that allows someone to identify or contact you, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, voice or video recording or other likeness as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing information. When we use the phrase “Anonymous Information” in this Privacy Policy, we mean information that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information. Anonymous Information does not enable identification of or contact with individual persons.

Children.

Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. We do not collect or maintain Personal Information from people we actually know are under 13 years of age except with the verified consent of a school district, administrator, teacher or parent as is permitted by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and no part of our Website or the Grant application is designed to attract people under 13 years of age except with the applicable consent of a school district, administrator, teacher or parent. If we later learn that Personal information from a child under 13 years of age without appropriate school district, administrator, teacher or parent consent, we will take steps to remove that Personal Information from our databases.

How We Collect Information.

1. Personal Information

In general, the Personal Information we gather enables us to provide the Organizers with enough information to award Grants and manage the funds in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and any Grant Agreement.
We collect Personal Information that you submit to us voluntarily when you apply for the Grant, and in the course of your use of the Website. When you communicate with us by sending us an email, we will collect and store any information that is contained in your communications with us. Any information you choose to provide for our use should reflect how much you want others to know about you. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but this may affect whether you will be chosen as the award Grant winner.

If you tell us where you are (e.g., by allowing your mobile device to send us your location when you search), we may collect, store and use that information. Of course, your location may also be apparent from the content you provide with your Grant application.

2. Information Collected by You and Shared.
If you share content that includes third party rights, such as the supporting videos in your application, you will ensure that you have the right to share such content with us. We rely upon you to obtain whatever consents from the third party that may be required by law to allow us to access. You or the third party may contact us at createchange@pttow.com to request the removal of this information from our database.

Anonymous Information

We may collect the following types of Anonymous Information:

1. Information Collected by Our Servers: To make our Website and the Grant process more useful to you, our servers (which may be hosted by a third party service provider) collect information from you, which may include your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address (a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet, which may vary from session to session), domain name, and/or a date/time stamp for your visit.

2. Log Files: As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (“ISP”), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the Website, track users’ movements around the Website, gather demographic information about our user base as a whole, and better tailor your experience. For example, some of the information may be collected so that when you visit the Website again, it will recognize you and the information could then be used to serve advertisements and other information appropriate to your interests.

3. Cookies: Like many online services, we may use cookies to collect information. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing the website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Website. This type of information is collected to make the Website and the Grant application process more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to accept cookies from our Website for any of the purposes described above, then you can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. Consult your browser’s technical information. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Website. If you have any questions about how to disable or modify cookies, please let us know at the contact information provided below.

4. Pixel Tags: In addition, we use “Pixel Tags” (also referred to as clear Gifs, Web beacons, or Web bugs). Pixel Tags are tiny graphic images with a unique identifier, similar in function to Cookies, which are used to track online movements of Web users. In contrast to Cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, Pixel Tags are embedded invisibly in Web pages. Pixel Tags also allow us to send e-mail messages in a format users can read, and they tell us whether e-mails have been opened to ensure that we are sending only messages that are of interest to our users. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to a user. We do not tie the information gathered by Pixel Tags to our users’ Personal Data.

5. Flash LSOs: When we post media, third parties may use local shared objects, known as “Flash Cookies,” to store your preferences for volume control or to personalize certain features. Flash Cookies are different from browser Cookies because of the amount and type of data and how the data is stored. Cookie management tools provided by your browser will not remove Flash Cookies. To learn how to manage privacy and storage settings for Flash Cookies, click here:http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
6. Device information: We may collect information about the computer or device you use to access our Website, including the hardware model, operating system and version, MAC address, unique device identifier, phone number, and mobile network information. In addition, we may access your device's image storage applications, with your consent, to facilitate your sharing of information to support your Grant application.
